The Grooms Duties

Groom’s Duties:

Get your side of the guest list together.

Pick your groomsmen and best man (and don’t forget to tell him/them what you expect him/them to do).

Help build a budget. This means holding discussion with the brides family to ascertain what they can afford to spend on the Wedding.

Pick your wedding bands together.

Plan what you and your groomsmen will wear...often your bride to be will want a significant say in this decision.

Help select parent gifts.

Buy a gift for your bride.

Prepare a toast for the rehearsal dinner or reception. (See our toasting tips.)

That’s the barebones list. However; to help prevent your bride from having a nervous breakdown (and hating you for not helping more), consider your strengths and where you think you could help the most and volunteer to take charge of one or more of the major planning components:
